Several of our development teams are seeking highly motivated, smart individuals who can combine technical and business skills. The candidates will have to be very good software developers with in-depth knowledge of the skills mentioned below. The ideal candidate would be able to work on multiple projects and manage his/her time accordingly.
This position gives the candidates a unique opportunity to develop both technical and business skills in the Finance Industry. The position also offers substantial exposure to the trading industry and to the complete trading cycle.
The Client Support and Development team and FX teams are responsible for integrating the FlexTrade software products with those of its clients and supporting the implemented solutions on an ongoing basis. These groups also interact very closely with traders and develop trading strategies for them. The team members also act as account managers for the accounts they work with.
Responsibilites:
- Develop and implement solutions for integrating FlexTrade products with those of the clients. This usually involves software development in C++ / Java / Perl / Databases etc.
- Support the FlexTrade products at the client sites on an ongoing basis. This requires the team members to learn the trading functionality and the backend functionality as well.
- Constantly build tools and scripts to automate the installation and trouble shooting of the system.
- Write custom trading strategies for clients.
- Manage the client accounts and work as relationship managers for the accounts allocated.
- Come up with New Product/Enhancement Ideas based on the experience with the clients and assist in the development and refinement of product and software requirements.
- Take ownership of specific modules within the system and work on fixing bugs and making enhancements in those modules, thus contributing to the product release process.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Verify product user manuals, on-line documentation and help systems for correctness.
- Contribute to the system documentation when working on all enhancements, bug fixes, and new products.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or higher with at least 2 years of experience in C++.
- In depth knowledge of Unix/Linux, Shell/Perl, C/C++, Java.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Motivation and self-determination to learn and grow.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in Financial Services or a related field.
- Knowledge of the FIX and CMS protocols.
- Database skills
